Dr Gary Smith

Hi, I am a PhD-qualified, specialist in English (Grammar & Literature) and Essay Writing Tutor with 10+ years’ experience. I am passionate about guiding secondary students toward maximising their results in English Literature, Essay Writing, Creative Writing and English Grammar.

I have worked professionally as a Journalist & Editor and taught as a sessional Lecturer at Deakin University. I have also Supervised Masters students with Essays up to 20, 000 words and I’m an award-winning Creative Writer whose short fiction, poetry and feature articles have been widely published. 

I tutor all Secondary students from year 7 level, with my specialty area being Year 11 & 12 VCE units 1 & 2 and 3 & 4.
